The romanian mezosoprano Diana Ardelean, born in 1982, graduated the „Gheorghe Dima” Music Academy of Cluj-Napoca in 2006 becoming employed at the National Opera House from Timisoara in the year 2007.
Her repertoire includes roles as Carmen in „Carmen” by G. Bizet, Azucena from „Il Trovatore” by G. Verdi, Ulrica from „Un ballo in maschera” by G. Verdi, Eliza Doolittle from „My Fair Lady” by. F. Loewe, Cherubino from „Le nozze di Figaro” by W. A. Mozart, Orlovski from „Die Fledermaus” by J. Strauss, Siebel and Martha from „Faust” by Ch. Gouond, Haensel from „Haensel und Gretel” by E. Humperdinck, Maddalena from „Rigoletto” by G. Verdi, Suzuki from „Madama Butterfly” by G. Puccini, Lola from „Cavalleria rusticana” by P. Mascagni, Flora Bervoix from „La Traviata” by G. Verdi, Venus from „Orfeo in Inferno” by J. Offenbach, Gabriela from „Lorelai” by V.Timaru.
Her teachers where famous romanian opera singers like Sorina Silvia Munteanu, Marius Vlad Budoiu, Mircea Moisa.
In the year 2007 she received a scholarship offered by CEE Musiktheater Wien and in 2001 she obtained the first place at the National Contest „Tinere Speranţe” from Oradea.
She performed with the National Opera House from Timisoara a series of artistic tours in Holland, Belgium, Austria.
